Most Streamed K-Pop Group On Spotify (Record By BTS)

The Official Award Of A Certificate

The fact that BTS has been the most streamed K-pop group on Spotify for the past three years is proof of their continued supremacy in the industry. The K-Pop Records Library formally acknowledged this achievement on March 27, 2025. By that point, the septet had been the most streamed group in K-pop history, breaking records across genres, and the first Asian act to achieve this incredible feat on the internet. They achieved this through their official profile, @BTS. Even though the group took a break in late 2022 to comply with mandatory military service, this accomplishment demonstrated the unrivaled power of BTS.

Feat:

Formed in 2013 by HYBE (then Big Hit Entertainment), BTS Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook rose from humble beginnings to become a cultural juggernaut. Their Spotify journey kicked off with their debut single “No More Dream” in June 2013, a track that introduced their raw energy and introspective lyrics. By March 2025, their catalog spanned 240 tracks, including hits like “Dynamite,” “Butter,” and “Boy With Luv” (feat. Halsey), each surpassing a billion streams. Posts on X in early 2025 pegged their total at 42.7 billion, a figure that dwarfed BLACKPINK’s 14.4 billion, their closest K-pop group rival, according to streaming data tracked up to March 29, 2025.
What made this record even more remarkable was its timing. With most members enlisted in South Korea’s military Jin discharged in June 2024, followed by J-Hope in October 2024, while others remained in service through mid-2025 BTS relied on their existing discography and fanbase, ARMY, to maintain momentum.
