Will Members Renew For Group Activities After Kep1er’s 6-Month Contract?

As of January 12, Kep1er’s contract extension is being discussed. Kep1er’s 2-year contract ends in July 2024.

Today, Wake One was rumored to be actively pursuing Kep1er’s contract extension and promotional period extension.

Wake One stated, “Last year, we met with all agencies to create a long-term artist plan. Our best attempts to negotiate an agreement with the prior agency failed. We shall discuss as the active period continues.” This matches the agency’s September 2023 position.

Kep1er, a 9-member project group, debuted on Mnet’s ‘Girls Planet 999’ on January 3, 2022, and has been active since their debut album ‘FIRST IMPACT’ and the title tune “WA DA DA,” becoming popular in Japan.

A spokesman said, “Wake One has not abandoned discussions for the extension of Kep1er’s activities, maintaining an unchanged position.”

LIMELIGHT, under 143 Entertainment, released their 3rd mini-album ‘LAST DANCE’ on January 12 and announced a 3-member group rearrangement afterward.

After Kepler’s activity time, Kang Ye Seo and Mashiro will return to 143 Entertainment to pursue solo projects.

Future contract discussions may affect Kep1er’s 2nd anniversary expiration date on July 3.
