Soyeon Of (G)I-DLE Criticizes Cube’s Management.

On January 19, (G)I-DLE’s comeback audio snippet was supposed to be released at midnight. Prior to the release, (G)I-DLE posted a brief notification on its official SNS. A work program mistake delayed the midnight release of the ‘(G)I-DLE 2nd Full Album [2] Audio Snippet’, the agency said. Video uploading follows at 12:30 AM. Fans waiting, please be kind.”


Fans waiting for the teaser were confused by this announcement. After 12:30 AM, the video was not posted. At 12:42 AM, another notice announced the video’s upload at 12 PM.

Soyeon, the leader and primary rapper of (G)I-DLE, submitted a post with the sighing phrase “Ha…” on his personal channel. This post may be a response to Cube Entertainment’s response.

However, the uncertainty increased when the video was uploaded after 1 AM on January 19th, instead of 12 PM. After that, the agency removed all delay notices.


Fans were furious by this handling. Internet users also criticized the agency’s behavior before the comeback.

At 6 PM on January 29, (G)I-DLE will release their second full album “2” online.
