Taiwanese Entertainer Confronts LE SSERAFIM With Sexual Harassment Comments

Huang Weijin, a Taiwanese entertainer, sexually harassed LE SSERAFIM.

Taiwanese media reported on January 29 that an incident occurred during the Lunar New Year’s special event, ‘2024 Taiwan Superstar Red and White Entertainment Awards,’ on January 27.

The segment featured LE SSERAFIM performing and meeting fans. LE SSERAFIM tried to eat sweet potato balls on bamboo skewers when Huang Weijin made an unacceptable comment. He said, “I want to stick it in them down there…the fried sweet potato balls.”

Lulu Huang Lu Zi Yin, the other host, said, “Hey Weijin, I think you made a verbal mistake.” Weijin said, “I just wanted to eat with them, I didn’t mean any other intention.”


The video of Huang Weijin’s audio went viral,prompting many netizens to express indignation and disgust at his comment.

Huang Weijin apologized on social media amid rising criticism. He said, “The broadcast let members consume exquisite cuisine one by one, so I automatically wanted to respond to Yoon Jin’s comment about sticking sweet potato balls. Avoiding awkward eating was my goal.”


Adding, “I said words that could be misunderstood by everyone, but the message I wanted to convey in my heart was ‘I’m glad to share delicious food with idols I like.'”
