Amidst controversy, Meenoi appears for her scheduled university performance

The 26-year-old singer Meenoi, whose true name is Park Min Young, skipped an advertisement shoot but showed up for a scheduled event.

MyDaily exclusively acquired images of Meenoi’s stage performance on February 7.

Meenoi sang on stage and engaged with students during a university’s freshmen orientation event, which took place on February 6 at Vivaldi Park in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province. Meenoi was well-known for interacting with the crowd while performing while grinning broadly on stage.

In a phone conversation with MyDaily, an audience member who saw Meenoi play live stated, “Meenoi mentioned ‘You all know, right?'” and discussed the incident with the live broadcast during the event.”

The audience member went on, “I knew her mood after reading today’s news (about the unsuccessful ad shoot). She performed effectively until the end of the stage, despite appearing a little strange at first. She gave off the impression of a “pro.”





In the past, Meenoi was supposed to appear in a photo shoot for the cosmetics company “P” on January 30. But she called off the shoot two hours before it was scheduled to start.

In a call with MyDaily, ‘P’s representative, Kim, provided the following explanation regarding the incident: “The choice of Meenoi as a model was determined by a strategic plan that was set in August 2023. The upcoming year’s timetable was set around the planned advertisement shoot, which caused the company to suffer huge losses.”


Kim did add, though, “Meenoi is still a young buddy, and I wanted to grasp the issue after realizing why she did what she did. We informed her agency that there would be no penalty fines for her agency’s violation of contract. If the relationship is made obvious, I hope that such situations won’t occur again.”

“This happened because the company and artist had different understandings of the agency and signing an advertisement contract,” officially revealed AOMG later. She ultimately decided not to take part in the commercial shoot because the conflict could not be settled. During the process, the artist admitted that she had committed a crime via her livestream due to her remorse about not filming, and she believed it would take some time to deal with everything. ‘You’ll know by March,’ she said, for that reason.


Meenoi, meanwhile, broke down in tears during a live broadcast on February 5 in the early morning. She then said, “Because everyone is living within the boundaries set by the law, in contrast to the standards I set for my life.” I shouldn’t have been able to act with this level of humility when I saw that in front of me and looked at myself.
