LE SSERAFIM captivates audiences all over the world with music that is inspired by literature.
A lot of people all over the world are listening to LE SSERAFIM’s songs.
On August 8th, LE SSERAFIM publicly disclosed the tracklist for their third mini-album, which is titled “ANTIFRAGILE.” With dramatic narration such as “The world is equally ugly to everyone / The remaining half is up to us to make it right,” the opening track, “Good Bones,” which was pre-released on the 26th of the previous month through the first album trailer, raised curiosity in the album.
On a global scale, the K-pop audience attracted particular attention to the title and message of the song ‘Good Bones.’
A poem of the same name that was penned by Maggie Smith, an American poet, served as the source of inspiration for the song. Before more information about the music was made public, fans expressed their curiosity about whether or not “LE SSERAFIM’s message aligns with the stories they’ve told so far.” They hypothesized about the relationship between the poem and the narration of the new song. This reaction soon spread across social networking sites, which contributed to the expectations that have been building up for their return.
Since the band’s inception, LE SSERAFIM has made a concerted effort to combine musical elements with literary elements. When LE SSERAFIM incorporates aspects from well-known myths and fairy tales into their songs, it makes it simpler for international listeners who are experiencing the group for the first time to enter the group’s narrative.
The song “Eve, Psyche, Bluebeard’s Wife,” which was included on their debut studio album titled “FEARLESS” and was published in May of this year, was influenced by both myths and classics. The intended concept of “breaking taboos” was reinterpreted as “growth towards a new world,” which was a noteworthy change. Pinocchio’s escape from the whale’s belly by lighting a fire is the inspiration for the song “Fire in the Belly,” which is featured on the same album. This song depicts the desire to become a victor in adventure by sparking passion within oneself. This approach on the part of LE SSERAFIM can also be observed in tracks from their debut album, such as “The Great Mermaid,” which is a retelling of “The Little Mermaid,” and “Sour Grapes,” which is inspired by the Aesop’s story “The Fox and the Grapes.”
It has been acknowledged that the incorporation of literary elements into the music of LE SSERAFIM is a distinctive quality, which has helped to firmly establish the band’s unique character in the international music market. Notably, despite the fact that they are not the album’s title tracks, “Eve, Psyche, and Bluebeard’s Wife” and “Sour Grapes” have achieved an extraordinary level of success, reaching 100 million plays on Spotify, which is the most popular music streaming platform in the world.
In their upcoming third mini-album, titled “ANTIFRAGILE,” which is scheduled to be published at six o’clock in the evening on the nineteenth, LE SSERAFIM intends to use literary aspects in order to touch the hearts of listeners both local and international.
