‘SMTOWN LIVE 2024 SMCU PALACE @TOKYO’ AKP STAFF: Siwon of Super Junior expresses unhappiness about the subpar camera work and transitions.
Members of Super Junior, Siwon, openly voiced his dissatisfaction with the recent ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2024 SMCU PALACE @TOKYO’, which took place at the Tokyo Dome on February 21 and 22.
On February 21, Siwon sent a statement on his social media account, saying, “SMTOWN Concert.” Camera work and transitions require immediate attention.” After then, the post was swiftly removed.
The Super Junior member then published a similar criticism on February 23. This time, he stated, “The camera work is crucial to the development and flow of each performance, even though it’s not the primary subject of the program. It’s crucial to use the right cameras, video cuts, and transitions.”
Notably, Beyond LIVE provided a live webcast of the concert’s second day for fans worldwide on February 22. A lot of viewers of the Beyond LIVE stream had also expressed their dissatisfaction with the shaky camera work, which included awkward transitions and disturbing close-ups of the performers’ foreheads.
