Ravi Is Facing Mandatory Reenlistment For Military Service

Ravi is subject to re-enlistment for his required military service.

Ravi enlisted as a social worker in October 2022, but it appears he may be required to re-enlist. Following his conviction for violating military service regulations, the former VIXX member may be required to re-enlist as an active-duty soldier, according to reports from August 11. According to the Military Service Act, those who elude active duty with falsified health records must be reexamined by military physicians and reenlist based on the results of the new exam.

Ravi was sentenced to two years of probation yesterday for falsifying his medical records through an unlawful broker in order to avoid active duty. Due to his alleged epilepsy, he served as a social worker. The judge stated, “Ravi misled about his epilepsy symptoms and conspired to avoid active duty service; these are serious offences. However, I considered the fact that he has no prior criminal record and regrets his actions. I also accounted for the fact that he will need to be re-evaluated for active duty if he is found culpable.”
