BTS Jin’s Solo Song “Moon” Unexpectedly Topped The Indian iTunes Charts

BTS Jin’s song “Moon” unexpectedly topped the Indian iTunes charts following the successful moon landing.

Jin’s solo song “Moon” topped the Indian iTunes Top Song Chart for the second time on August 24th.

‘Moon,’ written and composed by Jin himself and featured on BTS’ fourth regular album ‘MAP OF THE SOUL: 7’, is a fast-paced song distinguished by Jin’s excellent vocals and refreshing tone. It is a fan song that conveys an unwavering desire to be with the fans, comparing them to the earth and the artist to the moon orbiting the earth.

On the 23rd, India’s lunar probe Chandrayaan 3 landed on the surface of the south pole of the moon, making India the fourth country in the world to successfully land on the moon and the first country to land on the south pole of the moon.

Previously, India tried to land the Chandrayaan 2 lander on the moon in 2019, but failed and succeeded in four years. Accordingly, Indian fans congratulated BTS Jin’s song ‘Moon’ by placing it at number one on the iTues chart in India once again to celebrate the groundbreaking achievement.

In May of last year, Jin’s self-composed solo song ‘Moon’ reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top Song Chart in a total of 111 countries, demonstrating its worldwide popularity.

Jin’s song ‘Moon’ expresses her desire to always be near to her fans, comparing them to the earth and herself to the moon, and asking, ‘Suddenly thinking about you, do you really know you? Do you realise how beautiful you are?’ Fans adore the song’s sincere lyrics.

Prior to the afternoon of the 24th, more than 128.4 million times had been streamed ‘Moon’ on Melon, the largest music platform in Korea. Additionally, on Spotify, the world’s largest music platform, it has surpassed 189.29 million streams, demonstrating its continued strength as a domestic and international sound source.
