BTS’ V Is In Controversy For Using The Racial Slur ‘N-word’ During His Most Recent Live Performance

V, from the popular boy band BTS, is at the centre of a recent controversy after the idol purportedly used the ‘N-word’ during a live broadcast viewed by millions of fans, sparking heated debates among ARMYs and netizens on social media.

The controversy began when, during V’s live on the Weverse platform, the idol presumably sang and pronounced this word while ASAP Rocky’s ‘RIOT’ was playing, prompting hundreds of criticisms and accusations of racism against the singer.

During the course of his interaction with his admirers, Taehyung shared with them some of the things he did throughout the day. He then played the songs ‘Beat The P*** and Up’ by Young Jeezy, YG, T.I., and A$AP Rocky’s ‘RIOT’ while continuing to converse with viewers.

It is a fact that African-American rappers frequently use the ‘N-word’ in their songs, so it was unsurprising when ‘RIOT’ did so; what sparked controversy, however, was whether or not the idol had used the word while singing this theme.

Although it was clear that the idol was familiar with much of this ASAP Rocky song, when the rapper said this word, the idol barely moved his lips, indicating that he knew saying it in the midst of his interaction would be a grave error.

On social networks, fans and netizens continue to debate the controversy, with some claiming that the idol intended to utter the controversial word and others defending the idol by claiming that it is merely a common musical theme.
