The upcoming Pop Golden Awards, an international event scheduled for November in Los Angeles, has unveiled its roster of nominees spanning both music and film categories. Notably, K-pop acts have gained acknowledgment alongside renowned global figures such as Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise.
Leading the K-pop nominations, Blackpink secures an impressive 6 nominations spanning various categories. Solo artists Jisoo, Lim Young-woong, and Jimin have also garnered multiple solo nominations in recognition of their musical prowess. Jisoo’s nomination extends beyond music to encompass her acting achievements.
Prominent K-pop soloists like V, Jungkook, Jennie, Suga, and Jin have also earned nominations. BTS members have been individually appreciated for their solo works within the past year: Jimin with 5 nominations, Jungkook and V with 4 nominations each, and the likes of Suga, J-hope, Jin, and RM have also received acknowledgment.
The overall representation of K-pop artists stands out at this year’s Pop Golden Awards. The multitude of nominations for Blackpink underscores their dominance as a premier K-pop girl group. Individual nods for Jisoo and Jimin underscore their individual talents and growing solo popularity.
