BTS Jungkook’s ‘3D’ Ranks 5th On Billboard Hot 100.. First Korean Solo Artist To Achieve Two Consecutive Top 5

Top idol group BTS member Jungkook once again dominates the Billboard charts with his solo single “3D”.

According to a preview article of the latest charts (as of October 14) posted on the official website of Billboard on the 9th (local time), “3D” (feat. Jack Harlow) ranked 5th on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Jungkook, who topped the charts with his first solo single “Seven” (feat. Latto), became the only Korean solo artist to have two or more songs in the top 5 of the Hot 100 chart by entering the top 5 with his second solo single as well.

The Billboard Hot 100 chart is Billboard’s main singles chart, which ranks songs based on a combination of streaming, radio airplay, physical (CD) and digital single sales. “3D” recorded 13.6 million streams, 3.1 million radio airplay points, and 87,000 physical and digital single sales.

According to the chart preview article, “3D” also debuted at No. 1 on the “Digital Song Sales”, “Global 200”, and “Global (Excluding U.S.)” charts. This makes Jungkook the first Korean solo artist to have two or more songs at No. 1 on the “Global” charts. In particular, “3D” ranked No. 1 and “Seven” ranked No. 2 on the “Global (Excluding U.S.)” chart, making Jungkook the first solo artist in Billboard history to simultaneously rank No. 1 and No. 2 on the chart.

Jungkook has placed a total of four songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart as a solo artist, including “Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)” (No. 95), a collaboration song with Charlie Puth “Left and Right” (No. 22), and solo singles “Seven” (No. 1) and “3D” (No. 5) this year.

In addition, “Seven” returned to No. 1 on the latest chart (as of October 8) of “Daily Top Song Global” released by Spotify, and “3D” ranked third. In this way, Jungkook has firmly established himself as a “global pop star” with consecutive successes with “Seven” and “3D”.

Meanwhile, Jungkook will release his first solo album “GOLDEN” worldwide at 1pm on November 3 (KST). The album, which is based on the “golden moment” of solo artist Jungkook, includes a total of 11 songs, including the solo singles “Seven” and “3D”. Jungkook will then hold a fan showcase “Jung Kook ‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” at Jangchung Gymnasium in Jung-gu, Seoul at 8pm on November 20.
