FIFTY-FIFTY Sues “Unanswered Questions” Interviewee For “Defamation”

FIFTY’s Attrakt sued an SBS “Unanswered Questions” guest for a fake interview.
According to Attrakt, this person claimed to be an internal source and lied about CEO Jeon Hong-joon.

On August 19, “Billboard and Girl Groups – Who Broke Their Wings” covered the FIFTY FIFTY tampering scandal. It was the most complained-about event this year, according to the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC).

The broadcaster, “A”, made false remarks. The agency Attrakt said these lies hurt CEO Jeon Hong-joon’s reputation and trust.

A’s assertions were incorrect and damaging to Jeon Hong-joon’s image and reputation, according to Attrakt’s legal representative, lawyer Kim Byung-ok. He said the CEO’s efforts and sincerity had been reduced to image-making.

Attrakt announced they will charge A for the fraudulent interview because A’s identity and affiliation to the agency are uncertain. The agency’s robust legal response shows its willingness to safeguard the CEO’s reputation and address the interview’s incorrect statements.
