YouTuber/Reporter Kim Yong Ho, Accused Of Blackmailing And Extorting Celebrities, Died In A Hotel.

On October 12, Busan Haeundae Police reported that YouTuber/reporter Kim Yong Ho died at a hotel. Hotel staff discovered Kim and reported the incident.

The Haeundae Police told media, “It is suspected that the death was by suicide; however, the investigation is ongoing.”

Kim was in Busan for a sexual molestation trial that ended October 11. Kim Yong Ho was sentenced to 8 months in prison, 2 years of probation, 120 hours of community service, and 40 hours of sexual violence education by the Busan District Court for sexual molestation at a restaurant in July 2019.

Kim Yong Ho was also investigating elite celebrities for blackmail and extortion. Kim was accused of blackmailing celebrities since August 2020, requesting money to conceal private, unfavorable material that would harm their reputations. Kim was accused of extorting billions of won. Kim’s arrest warrant was under review on October 12.

On October 12, at 3 PM KST, a YouTube video supposedly containing Kim Yong Ho’s dying remarks surfaced. In the voice-only recording, Kim apologized for sexual abuse but rejected blackmail and extortion charges.
