BABYMONSTER Struggles Aa Ahyeon’s Future Remains Unknown.

BABYMONSTER, YG’s second girl group following BLACKPINK, is already in turmoil before launch.
News1 announced on November 15 that Ahyeon will not debut in BABYMONSTER owing to personal reasons, limiting the girl group to 6.

YG said Ahyeon would miss BABYMONSTER’s debut due to health issues, but the trainee will stay with the group and will be supported in her recovery

However, on Korea’s most popular search portal, Naver, BABYMONSTER’s page has been modified to only list 6 members, and Chiquita’s visual clip showed only 6 seats, with Chiquita seated on one.

YG’s claim that Ahyeon won’t leave keeps people on edge.

Previously, Ahyeon disappeared from BABYMONSTER’s SNS accounts, worrying netizens. The trainee also missed BLACKPINK’s September BORN PINK Final Show in Seoul, fueling speculation of her leaving.

At the same time, many suspected YG of lying about Ahyeon staying. In particular, YG said that former TREASURE and WINNER members will take a sabbatical owing to health difficulties, although one member left without explanation.

Netizens say YG is purposefully unclear regarding Ahyeon for “media play”. If they announced Ahyeon’s departure now, the girl group would lose a lot of attention and popularity because Koreans and Chinese fans love her.

Many netizens have criticized YG on various forums, including the following:

Ahyeon trained for years and went through a survival show, but now they say she won’t debut? WTF is wrong with YG?
YG masters mismanagement. They botched Bang Yedam, iKON, Ahyeon, and even WINNER. All of YG’s musicians have incredible potential, but management has ruined everything. BABYMONSTER should have debuted after the survival show. After waiting forever for the excitement to die down, they pulled this media blasphemy.
YG delayed revealing Ahyeon’s absence from BABYMONSTER’s debut. Still think this is media play and Ahyeon won’t return.
YG has posted asa and chiquita videos and photographs, but Ahyeon is getting more attention.

Babymonster will suffer without their “ace” Ahyeon.
Due to her versatility, Ahyeon has received attention before debut. She enjoys dancing, singing, and rapping, is gorgeous, and is known as “Second Jennie.” The 2007 idol’s performance of Charlie Puth’s “Dangerously” went viral, making it startling that she won’t attend BABYMONSTER’s debut.

Last February, YG revealed Ahyeon as the “perfect trainee,” with a gorgeous voice, explosive rap talents, and dance skills. Former YG CEO Yang Hyun Seok said, “Ahyeon is a warrior with many outstanding ‘weapons.’” Her likeness is hard to find every time you see her.”

Ahyeon is often compared to BLACKPINK’s Jennie since she has a similar charisma. She has a charming face with Jennie-like “mandu cheeks” but is stylish and polished.

On November 27, YG will release BABYMONSTER, its first girl group in 7 years after BLACKPINK. In their debut song, YG said the females provide strong hip-hop and style. The group is anticipated to replace BlackPink, whose contract extension is questionable. However, this may hinder YG’s goals.

BABYMONSTER has two Korean members, Haram and Rora, two Thai members, Pharita – Chiquita, and two Japanese members, Ruka and Asa, without Ahyeon. Fans are worried about BABYMONSTER, BLACKPINK’s younger sister group, having only two Korean members. International K-pop groups are frequently less popular than Korean ones.

Only 2/6 Koreans are members. The group struggles in Korea. Some admirers said BABYMONSTER is like a foreign group. The group already had few Korean members, and now the hottest Korean is out. I don’t know the future,” said another enthusiast.

Ahyeon’s return is questionable.
YG did not specify whether Ahyeon left BABYMONSTER in the news announcement. Fans believe she would rejoin the group after stabilizing her health due to the unclear announcement. Some admirers noted that Ahyeon-related photographs and videos remain on the group’s fan page.

Ahyeon’s return to BABYMONSTER is unlikely, as many believe YG’s declaration confirms her withdrawal. YG’s official announcement is meant to boost interest in the new girl group.

Ahyeon’s BABYMONSTER comeback is unknown.
A video of Ahyeon rapping a song with inappropriate language at Hanlim Arts High School caused uproar before her debut.

The idol used the N-word while rapping “Feeling Myself” by Nicki Minaj. Ahyeon’s ignorance prompted netizens to demand an apology from her and the corporation.

BABYMONSTER was postponed until November to improve its completeness. Fans believe the corporation delayed the debut to reshoot the music video after eliminating Ahyeon.
