G-Dragon Founds Nonprofit To End Korean Drug Use

G-Dragon has committed to fight drug addiction in the public good after his acquittal.

Galaxy Corporation Directors Jo Hae-hae and Oh Hee-young attended G-Dragon’s new agency’s press presentation at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul on December 21. Director Oh Hee-young read a letter from G-Dragon, who was unable to attend owing to schedule issues.

After being acquitted of drug usage, G-Dragon wrote, “After going through this incident, I saw something I had never seen before,” and discussed the rise in domestic drug cases.

He remarked, “I want to actively fight drugs for the kids and those who take the dangerous route. I wish to provide underprivileged people treatment.”

He then announced a foundation, saying, “I want to play a systemic role in protecting someone as someone’s older brother, younger brother, and colleague.”

G-Dragon also revealed his plan to start a foundation to combat drug eradication, inequity, and injustice. The foundation helps impoverished artists and future generations.

G-Dragon also said that he will donate his first charity under his fandom moniker (V.I.P) to thank fans for their support during the crisis. He said: “I stood up. I didn’t lose energy or feel lonely because the VIP treated me like their own business and loved me. I appreciate you everyone.
