A Legal Update On The Litigation Against Former Agency Is Provided By OMEGA X

Group OMEGA X gave a status report on the legal procedures against their former agency, Spire Entertainment, on March 19 KST. The agency for OMEGA X states that, “On March 12, 2024, it was verified that an assault had occurred after a comprehensive investigation. Kang Seong Hee will therefore face legal action.”

The agency claimed that they had reached a settlement on the primary litigation for the termination of the exclusive contract, which is why they had withdrawn the complaint about business interruption that had been filed alongside the assault case. They did, however, stress that they are actively looking into allegations of character slander, business obstruction, and other issues.

The agency also dealt with a temporary injunction that suspended OMEGA X’s exclusive contract and was given to Spire Entertainment in January 2023. They expressed their dissatisfaction with the persistent dissemination of misleading material in spite of the court ruling, claiming that it harms the members’ chances of picking up where they left off.

“We are fully cooperating with the legal investigation, backed by clear factual confirmation and specific data,” said the agency. “We have proof that disproves false stories and assertions, which we will eventually make public. Protecting our artists and assisting their return to the industry are our top priorities.”

In the meantime, Spire Entertainment declared that they would address the forced harassment issue involving OMEGA X in a news conference the same day. Former CEO Kang plans to share CCTV evidence of the alleged incident in which he claims OMEGA X members have harassed him sexually in the past.
