A Nine-Piece Group, Will Release Their Debut Full-Length Album, “Kep1going On

Kep1er will make available their first full-length album. This album is significant since it will be Kep1er’s first and only full-length release as a nine-piece group. Kep1er, a seven-member group that was initially formed through the 2021 Mnet show “Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga,” just became the first Mnet project group to successfully renew their contract. In this release, Kep1er intends to utilize every talent they have amassed in the two years and six months since their debut. Choi Yujin, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Kim Chaehyun, Kim Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Youngeun, and Kang Yeseo, collectively known as Kep1er, will release their debut full-length album, “Kep1going On,” at 6 PM today, March 3, on a number of online music platforms. ‘Kep1going On’ is their first full-length album in Korea and their first new release in around nine months, having released their mini-album ‘Magic Hour’ in September. The album celebrates the moments Kep1er and their followers, known officially as Keplian, have spent together and expresses their resolve to keep chasing their goals while providing their supporters with something unique. A deep message to Keplian is conveyed in the synth-pop song “Shooting Star,” which has an electric guitar, an emotive synth line, and rhythmic drumming. It carries on Kep1er’s narrative, which can be heard in songs like “Planet” and “Galileo,” demonstrating their development with a dynamic flow and, as the song nears its conclusion, ever stronger feelings. The ‘Shooting Star’ music video teaser, which attracted a lot of attention from fans all over the world, previously included intricate choreography that reflected Kep1er’s unity and dramatic point choreography that was evocative of stars and light. The tantalizing taste of the song’s chorus added to the excitement surrounding their return. “Last Carnival,” “Curious,” “Flowers, Flutter, Your Heart,” “Double Up!,” “PUSH BUTTON,” “PROBLEM,” “Dear Diary,” and Korean renditions of “Grand Prix” and “Straight Line” are among the ten varied tracks that make up “Kep1going On.” On the album’s title track, “Shooting Star,” member Kim Dayeon made her rapping debut. Mashiro also contributed to the lyrics of “Curious,” which elevated the album’s relevance.
