After breaking up with her partner, Ahreum claims he forced her to commit fraud.
Ahreum split from her fiance, whom she had planned to marry after her divorce, on April 19. Rumors indicate the former T-ara member and her ex-boyfriend sought for money because they gambled and deceived fans and friends of 40 million won ($28,980.06 USD).
Ahreum claims the former couple received support, denying the accusations. Instead of stating they let us borrow money, she said, “People helped us. I couldn’t get support for a silly problem. I’m suing them for my children with the money. I borrowed money for a good reason, but hackers stole it. Share what you have in life. If it were the other way around, I’d aid them. I know nothing about unlawful gambling. Check out my phone. I was hacked. Hackers sent all my phone texts. They altered it like images.”
The screenshots below show Ahreum allegedly saying she borrowed money for sports betting. YouTuber Lee Jin Ho released a video of his interaction with Ahreum, who denied gambling again. The text chat says she borrowed the money to gambling, but her friends say they’ve never seen Ahreum bet. The couple borrowed money into her ex-boyfriend Seo’s account, which is odd.
Ahreum said that her ex-boyfriend encouraged her to borrow the money and that she’s returned it all. She said she’ll sue her ex-boyfriend Seo.
After accusing her ex-husband of physical assault, Ahreum attempted suicide a day later. After Dispatch exposed Ahreum and her ex-boyfriend for fraud, Ahreum claimed she was hacked. After the hacking charges, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho released a voice clip of Ahreum threatening a friend for money.
