AKMU Celebrates Their Tenth Anniversary By Releasing Their Fandom Name For The First Time

With its supporters, AKMU is commemorating their tenth anniversary in style!

YG Entertainment celebrated AKMU’s tenth anniversary with posters on their official social media pages on March 21.

For the first time in ten years since their debut, “AKKADEMY” is announced as AKMU’s official fandom name by the 10th Anniversary Project. The new fandom name, which is an amalgam of the terms AKMU and ACADEMY, designates an institution at the forefront of the arts.

The vintage-style poster’s insignia evokes memories of a school, appealing to viewers’ imaginations with its creative design.

“To repay the hearts of fans who love AKMU and accompanied them on their musical journey over the past 10 years,” YG said, expressing his preparation for a range of projects. We hope that you will look forward to AKMU’s tale with the artists being expanded further.

Weverse Shop will offer memberships for AKMU’s worldwide official fan club “AKKADEMY” starting on March 21 at 2:00 PM KST and running through April 4.
