Hwarang (actual name Park Jong-chan, 28), a member of the group Spectrum, was recently accused of “illegal filming of women.”
TV Daily reported exclusively on October 4 that in August Park was suspected of breaking the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (by filming, etc.).
A, a non-famous woman in her twenties whom Park met on social networking site (SNS) in late July, was supposedly invited to Park’s house. Park undressed A without her permission and unlawfully videotaped her naked body while she was sleeping, inebriated, and defenseless.
The circumstances leading up to the occurrence were as follows. After exchanging messages on SNS, the two finally met in person on July 30. Once they had met in Seoul, they went to Park’s place to hang around.
A stated in her complaint, “I drank more than usual at Park’s place and fell asleep owing to the effects of alcohol. As soon as I heard the camera click and saw the flash, I woke awake. Apparently Park filmed my nudeness. I told him not to film by waving my hands, despite the fact that I was inebriated and confused and had no idea where I was. It scared me that Park might show the tape to other people.
A’s daily life apparently became harder after the tragedy because of A’s significant anxiety. Her pulse began to race at the sight of camera flashes, and she finally decided to lodge a formal complaint about the situation.

A then made further attempts to get in touch with Park, but he had already altered his contact details and was sending replies suggesting he would report her as a stalker via messages on SNS.
Park has recently completed filming a web drama but was cut from the final cut after the event. Park’s promoting videos are also locked down tight.
It has been stated that Park’s agency and other representatives have been unable to contact him since he has made his social media accounts private.
Spectrum, meanwhile, is a seven-member boy band that debuted in 2018.
