At the artist’s request, G-Dragon’s mixed-media artwork “Youth is Flower” was removed from the sale.

The mixed-media artwork “Youth is Flower,” which earlier attracted notice for being the first item made by G-Dragon to be offered for sale, has been removed at the artist’s request from the auction list.

The original plan was for the piece to be auctioned off at Seoul Auction Gangnam Center in Shinsa-dong on March 29 as part of the ‘Contemporary Art Sale’. However, Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon’s agency, states that “this piece was not put up for auction by the artist himself after checking with the artist.” The artist is also unaware of the specifics surrounding this piece’s auction, including the person who is selling it.”

In order to serve as a decorative item for the cafe ‘2017 Untitled’ at Jeju Shinhwa World, G-Dragon developed the mixed-media artwork in 2017. There were rumors that the sculpture might go up for auction for 30 million KRW, or about $23,000 USD.
