The K-Pop Records Library officially recognized this achievement on March 27, 2025, certifying that “FML” sold over 6.4 million copies worldwide, as reported by Circle Chart and Pledis Entertainment.

The album shattered records from the start, with 3.9 million units sold on its first day and 4.5 million in its debut week, according to Hanteo. Featuring hits like “Fuck My Life” and “Super,” “FML” captivated fans globally, earning SEVENTEEN and their devoted CARATs a historic milestone. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) also named it the top-selling album worldwide in 2023.
This triumph surpassed the previous record held by BTS’s “Map of the Soul: 7,” which sold 5.03 million copies. The K-Pop Records Library proudly issued SEVENTEEN a certificate for this feat, cementing “FML” as a landmark in K-pop history.
