BLACKPINK To Continue 4-Member Group Activities? YG Side “In Discussion”[Official]

As of November 20, 2023, the future activities of Blackpink are still under discussion.

On November 20, 2023, a representative of YG Entertainment (YG) told Star News that they are still in talks about the future activities of Blackpink.

On the same day, Munhwa Ilbo reported that Blackpink will continue to operate as a group. According to the report, the members have not yet signed new contracts with YG, but they plan to continue working together for Blackpink activities. In particular, two members have already agreed to continue their activities with Blackpink, and have signed contracts with YG. YG plans to make an official announcement after the remaining members sign their contracts.

Blackpink debuted in August 2016 and is celebrating its 7th anniversary this year. As they have released many hit songs so far, attention is focused on whether they will renew their contract. While rumors have emerged that each member is taking an independent path, YG recently announced its position through a quarterly report.

On the 14th, YG announced, “As of the disclosure date, the exclusive contract with the artist (Blackpink) is being negotiated for renewal, and the final result will be announced later through the disclosure of ‘Major management matters related to investment decisions’.”
