Blackpink’s “Kill This Love” Music Video Surpasses 1.9 Billion Views

The music video for “Kill This Love” by the girl group Blackpink (BLACKPINK) has surpassed 1.9 billion views on YouTube.

According to the agency YG Entertainment on the 4th, Blackpink’s ‘Kill This Love’ music video exceeded 1.9 billion views on YouTube as of 6:13 am on this day. This is a record that has been around 4 years and 8 months since it was released on April 5, 2019.

With this, Blackpink became the first K-pop artist to have two music videos with over 1.9 billion views. Previously, their other mega hit song ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ achieved the same number of views and is currently approaching 2.2 billion views.

‘Kill This Love’ is a song mainly composed of strong lead brass and magnificent drum sounds. This music video combines Blackpink’s powerful and charismatic performance with sophisticated visuals that maximize the song’s atmosphere.

In particular, it received rave reviews for its impressive, addictive point choreography, including movements that resemble shooting a long gun, and was listed as the only K-pop song in the ‘Top 10 Most Viewed Music Videos Worldwide in 2019’.
