BREAKING RIIZE’s Seunghan Announced Extended Suspension Due To Controversy.

Due of personal controversy, SM Entertainment suspended Seunghan from RIIZE on November 22 KST.

SM Entertainment released RIIZE in September. After photographs of Seunghan smoking on the streets of Japan and conducting video calls with other musicians were posted online, he was engulfed in scandal.

According to the agency, “Seunghan apologizes for disappointing and confusing the team, members, and fans with personal concerns. Seunghan felt burdened and responsible and chose the best team option after much thought. He said he’d stop. To honor his views, we suspended his activities indefinitely.”

Thus, effective November 22, RIIZE will have 6 members excluding Seunghan. The agency said, “We regret our pre-debut talent management negligence. We apologize to fans again.”

In response to Seunghan’s private films and images being shared, they threatened legal action. The agency stated, “The videos and photos that are currently being leaked and distributed without permission have been reproduced several times to cause misunderstanding through intentional secondary editing,” and, “We have collected a significant amount of evidence and identified the offender. Our local police station will receive a complaint.”
