BTS’s V Makes A Solo Comeback With His Self-composed Song, Sweeping Global Charts

BTS’s V, who is about to make his solo debut, swept the global charts with his previous self-composed songs. V officially released three self-composed songs, including ‘Winter Bear’, ‘Snow Flower (feat. Peakboy)’, and ‘Scenery’ on August 28 at 1 PM (KST).

These are recordings that were previously made available for free on the global music platform SoundCloud. Nonetheless, supporters from across the globe responded with enthusiasm, confirming V’s global influence.
The 2019 release ‘Winter Bear’ dominated the iTunes ‘Top Song’ chart in 45 countries/regions, including Japan, France, and Finland, as of 9 a.m. on March 29. “Snow Flower,” which V released for the holiday season in 2020, topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 37 countries/regions, including Sweden, Greece, and Turkey. The 2019 release of the self-composed song “Landscape” topped the iTunes “Top Song” chart in 21 countries/regions, including Singapore and Vietnam.

In addition, ‘Winter Bear’ topped the ‘Worldwide iTunes Song Chart’, followed by ‘Snow Flower’ and ‘Landscape’. As V’s songs from the past few years have topped the global charts, anticipation is mounting for the September release of his debut solo album.

Meanwhile, V will simultaneously release his debut solo album ‘Layover’ on September 8 at 1:00 p.m. In the new album ‘Layover,’ which contains a total of 6 songs including the title tune ‘Slow Dancing,’ ‘Rainy Days,’ ‘Blue,’ ‘Love Me Again,’ and ‘For Us,’ you can observe a new side of V.
