BTS’s V Reflects His Taste 100% In Solo Debut, Practices Singing Again

BTS member V shared his unique mindset ahead of his solo debut.

On September 8, at 1:00 PM KST, Big Hit Music, the agency of BTS, released a video introducing V’s solo album, “Layover,” ahead of its release.

“Layover” is based on pop R&B genre, and includes a total of 6 songs, including the title track “Slow Dancing,” as well as the pre-released songs “Rainy Days,” “Love Me Again,” “Blue,” “For Us,” and the bonus track “Slow Dancing”

V stated regarding the title track, “It is a composition that can be listened to in a relaxed state of mind. The second performance is a flute performance. I chose the title because I believed ARMY would appreciate it the most.”

As this is his first solo album, he said, “I had many concerns and prepared it with the intention of revealing a new aspect of myself. I attempted to be a little greedy, despite the fact that I’m not particularly greedy. I hope you fell for V’s new personality.”

Similarly, he emphasised, “‘Layover’ is an album that reflects my tastes 100 percent,” and added, “If I had to characterise the solo album work in a single word, it would be to visit myself. You may believe that V has this characteristic. He is dazzling on stage. “On this album, I attempted to lighten things up a bit and reveal my true personality. I resumed vocal practise and attempted to fill in the gaps’, he continued.
