BTS’s V Released Music Video For His Solo Song “Slow Dancing” On The Official YouTube Channel Of HYBE Labels

Group BTS member V portrayed a fantasy of emerald-colored sea, warm sunlight, and faint flute melody.

V uploaded the music video for ‘Slow Dancing’ to the official Hive Labels YouTube channel on the 8th at 1pm (Korean time).

The music video released on this date combines grand scale, gorgeous scenery, an intriguing plot, and a mysterious atmosphere, making it impossible to look away for the duration.

The music video for ‘Slow Dancing’ was filmed on the beach in Mallorca, Spain, and every time the scene changes, new and distinctive scenery appears. V’s autobiographical yet dreamlike narrative, which alternates between ideals and reality, is intriguing. The combination of the flute’s faint melody and V’s fantasy stimulates nostalgia to the point where it causes the pulse to flutter.

Beginning with V swimming in the ocean, the scene continues with him and his pals having a good time at the beach. He spends an ecstatic moment dancing and gazing at the night sky in the breeze and sunlight. The attention is captivated by the breathtaking panorama of nature that transpires concurrently with V’s cheerful appearance.

“Slow Dancing” is a pop R&B song based on the soul sound of the 1970s, and its jazz-influenced ambiance is impressive. From V’s romantic yet laid-back vocals to the impromptu flute performance in the second half, the song continues to exude a sense of non-motivated leisure, freedom, and tranquilly, just as the song’s title suggests.

V’s first solo album ‘Layover’ comprises ‘Slow Dancing’, ‘Rainy Days’, ‘Blue’, ‘Love Me Again’, ‘For Us’, and the bonus track ‘Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)’. It includes six tracks. V collaborated with ADOR executive producer Min Hee-jin to complete ‘Layover’, which focuses on V’s unique ‘newness’.

‘Rainy Days’ is a song that generates a unique atmosphere by combining vintage and distinctive percussion sounds with contemporary drum sounds. Various everyday white noises harmonise with V’s voice, evoking a sensation of nostalgia comparable to listening to an old jazz album during a rainstorm. ‘Blue’ is a song with a modern sound that adds a special flavour to the old school R&B genre, and V’s vocals that penetrate the deep bass and drum sounds are particularly notable.

The addition of gospel and jazz lends the R&B song ‘Love Me Again’ a rich and warm atmosphere. The song’s dreamy ambiance and lingering sound were contributed by V’s rhythmic, alluring low voice. The composition ‘For Us’ combines synth pad sounds, warm chorus vocals, and vintage-sounding piano. V’s charming falsetto is added to the lyrics, which metaphorically express the sadness that cannot be reached no matter how hard one attempts, evoking feelings of longing.
