Choi Siwon of Super Junior has issued a statement in response to recent claims that he was involved in coin fraud.
Recently, concerns about a corporation that purportedly sold coins using the announcement of their company’s public offering as bait have been raised, raising suspicions of a “scam coin.” Suspicions were raised over Choi Siwon’s role in the coin fraud when it was mentioned that the Korea Youth Committee’s Youth Pay and a few other people were implicated.
On February 12, Choi Siwon vehemently refuted the rumors in a statement posted on his community YouTube channel.
See the statement in its entirety below:
Greetings, I am Siwon Choi.
I would want to state unequivocally that I am not involved in the dispute regarding the Youth Pay of the Korea Youth Committee. Moreover, I have never received an appointment to serve as an ambassador for Youth Pay through the Korea Youth Committee. Though I did receive an award at a ceremony hosted by the Korea Youth Committee, this was unrelated to the present situation and was given in celebration of my efforts to provide a positive example for young people.
I would like it to be known that I have not participated in the youth pay program of the Korea Youth Committee or in any individual’s political activity.
