Due To Yang Hyun Suk’s Continuing Appeal Hearing, We Can Speculate On When Baby Monster Will Be Released.

Will it be possible for Baby Monster to make its appearance by the conclusion of the fall season? Star News’ Yoon Sang Geun says the chances are slim.

In May of this year, Baby Monster, a new rookie girl group from YG Entertainment, had its seven-member lineup confirmed by none other than the company’s top producer, Yang Hyun Suk. In a recent interview, Yang Hyun Suk announced that the debut of girl group Baby Monster, consisting of members Haram, Ahyeon, Rora, Pharita, Chiquita, Ruka, and Asa, would take place by the end of October.

The expiration of BLACKPINK’s 7-year debut contract has coincided with rumors in the Korean entertainment business that YG Entertainment will release Baby Monster this September.

The fact is, though, that Yang Hyun Suk, the head producer of Baby Monster, is still on trial for allegedly intimidating an ex-idol trainee known only as “A.”

On September 27 KST, the fifth and last hearing of his continuing appeal trial took place, and Yang Hyun Suk was present. After being declared not guilty during his first trial, Yang Hyun Suk continued to maintain his innocence at his most recent appeal trial.

On November 8, a ruling is expected from the Seoul High Court.

Where does this leave Baby Monster’s release date?

Star News reports that the new girl group has yet to make any solid plans to launch their first project. The conclusion of Yang Hyun Suk’s appeal hearing at the beginning of November suggests that the debut project will resume vigorously after YG Entertainment fails to deliver on its promise of a launch by the end of the autumn.
