Famous YouTuber Sojang challenges her exorbitant 100 million KRW (75,000 USD) fine to the court).
Starship Entertainment remains against YouTuber Sojang.
Starship’s attorney Jung Kyung Suk told Sport Chosun on January 24 that “Both the lawsuit filed by Jang Won Young personally and the one filed by Starship Entertainment will go through the entire legal process until a verdict is reached in regards to Sojang.”
The agency has been suing Ms. Park, the owner of “Sojang,” which harassed its artists, since November 2022. This legal action covers civil and criminal litigation in foreign countries. The police have transferred the criminal complaint to the prosecutor’s office for a full legal review.
Sojang maintained her innocence in a trial written statement notwithstanding these legal developments. Sojang said the films were not for the public interest and that she was ignorant of the false information. Sojang disputes the 100 million KRW (75,000 USD) compensation as unreasonable.
Starship Entertainment responded that they will continue aggressive legal action.
Attorney Jung stated, “Starship’s damages lawsuit deadline was January 24, and the hearing is April 3. Our goal is to resolve both disputes.”
Cyber wrecker YouTube channel Sojang has spread damaging allegations about Jang Won Young, BTS, ATEEZ, NewJeans, and others.
False dating and quarrel allegations have plagued Jang Won Young. In 2023, her management company, Starship Entertainment, sued Sojang, the originator of these claims, to safeguard her. Starship got crucial information from Google’s headquarters to help them. Starship is suing Sojang domestically and internationally after learning this.
