This milestone was accomplished by the infectious single in just 95 days, by October 18, 2012, thanks to its catchy beat, wacky horse-riding dance, and extraordinary global appeal. The track was released on July 15, 2012, under the label YG Entertainment. According to Billboard, “Gangnam Style” surged to the top of the charts with 15.8 million views in its first week after being released during the height of YouTube’s early viral phase.
