Following Their 2023 MAMA Awards Debut, NewJeans Won Daesang Within A Year.

The Tokyo Dome hosted the ‘2023 MAMA Awards’ on the 29th.

NewJeans won the ‘Samsung Galaxy Song of the Year’ for ‘Ditto.’ The award was nominated for (G)I-DLE’s ‘Queenka,’ IU’s ‘I AM,’ Jisoo’s ‘Flower,’ Jungkook’s ‘Seven,’ and NewJeans’ ‘Ditto.’

The event was skipped, but NewJeans celebrated ‘Ditto.’ Within a year of its release, the song topped the Billboard 200 and other domestic charts with over 400 million streams.

NewJeans won three awards—’Song of the Year,’ ‘Best Female Group,’ and ‘Best Dance Performance Female Group,’ a remarkable feat.

On the 29th, ‘Chapter 2’ will feature music and album data-based awards for ‘Song of the Year,’ ‘Artist of the Year,’ and ‘Album of the Year’. ATEEZ, Boy Next Door, ELLESUP, (G)I-DLE, Leseraphim, Monica, NiziU, Monica, RIIZE, Seventeen, TREASURE, ZEROBASEONE, and more will perform.
