Rocky revealed his close relationship with his former ASTRO teammates.
Rocky’s first mini album, ‘ROCKYST’, was released on November 22 under his own company, One Fine Day Entertainment. He said, “My new CD was well-received by the band. Their words are always positive. Like old, comfy companions. We rarely give each other serious counsel. Daily living is discussed.”
Reflecting about leaving Fantagio and ASTRO, he said, “I didn’t consider a solo career at the moment. I felt exhausted and disoriented, unsure what to do. Including my trainee years, I’ve been in this field for about 15 years. That’s when I thought, “Maybe I don’t need to continue on this path.”
Rocky then lost his longtime comrade Moonbin shortly after leaving.
“I seem to have sent him off. Honestly, it hurt. “I couldn’t imagine the pain,” the musician said.
After hearing his solo album, Rocky was asked what Moonbin may say. Response: “He’s visited me in nightmares. But he’d probably nod. We virtually grew up together, fighting all the fights we needed to fight. Even if we didn’t open up, time would get us through it. Hyung smiled and nodded instead of saying anything profound.” Rocky confidently pointed to his heart, saying, “He is aways here with me.”
Rocky ended, “I want to be known as a risk-taking artist. I appreciate anybody listening to this music with that impression.”
