Former ‘Boys Planet’ Participant Winnie Departs NINE.i

FirstOne Entertainment confirmed in English that Winnie is leaving NINE.i permanently. The Thai idol has been on suspension since April 2023 due to a shoulder muscle injury, and the label warns that excessive choreography could trigger it again.

Winnie will leave NINE.i but stay with FirstOne Entertainment to explore solo projects.

Winnie joined NINE.i in March 2022 and became famous on Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet’ in 2023.

See FirstOne Entertainment’s complete statement below.

“Hello.

FirstOneEntertainment.

Informing you about NINE.WINNIE, who was injured.

Last April, WINNIE was diagnosed with a shoulder muscle tear and has diligently undergone exercise and rehabilitation to recuperate.

However, based on the medical staff’s opinion that excessive choreography may cause the ruptured shoulder muscle to recur, we had a long and in-depth discussion with the company about future activities, and NINE.i, which requires continuous choreography, has ended. We decided.

WINNIE will focus on his health and then demonstrate his personality through personal activities.

Although his NINE.i membership is ending, we want to thank the people who have supported and loved WINNIE.

Thus, NINE.i will remain a 9-member group.

We regret for the quick announcement that worried many fans.

Please love and support WINNIE’s individual pursuits.

Please cheer the nine NINE.i members.

Thank you.
