Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol & Choerry Of LOONA Win Exclusive Contract Case Against Blockberry Creative

Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choerry won their exclusive contract lawsuit against Blockberry Creative. The 11th Civil Division of the Seoul Northern District Court sided with Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsol, and Choerry in their civil action against Blockberry Creative on June 21. The case began in March 2023 without Blockberry’s answer. The label replied late and court hearings began in December 2023. The four earlier obtained a temporary order that lifted their exclusive contract’s entertainment restrictions. Along with the lawsuit, they moved to Modu House and founded Artemis, which was rebuilt as a 5-member group with Haesol. LOONA began in 2018 as a 12-member group, but Chuu’s financial settlement problems with Blockberry last year had a rippling effect. Other group members sued for exclusive contract suspension, effectively disbanding the group. Chuu won her first and second trials against Blockberry Creative to end her exclusive contract, but the label appealed. They await the Supreme Court’s ruling.
