Himchan, former B.A.P member, avoids prison at third sexual offense trial

Himchan was suspended for his third sexual offense.

Kim Himchan was sentenced to 3 years in prison, deferred by a 5-year probationary period, by the Seoul Western District Court’s Criminal Division (presiding judge Kwon Sung Soo) on February 1 KST for rape and violating the Act on Punishment of Sexual Crimes.

Himchan was also required to take 40 hours of sexual violence classes. He will also be barred from working in child, juvenile, and disabled facilities for three years.


Himchan was accused of sexually abusing a female he invited to his home in May 2022, filming it illegally, and giving her the filthy content in June. In April, Himchan was accused of sexually harassing two women outside a Hannam-dong bar while drunk.


In July 2018, Himchan was sentenced to actual imprisonment in an appellate court for forcing and sexually assaulting ‘A’, a 20-year-old lady, at a pension in Namyang-ju, Gyeonggi-do He was arrested and tried for other sexual assaults after serving a 10-month sentence in December.
