Hyeri will play the lead in the GL mystery thriller “Friendly Competition,” according
As of February 6 KST, singer and actress Hyeri has stated that she will be returning to her school uniform in her upcoming series, “Friendly Competition.”
“Friendly Competition,” which is based on the well-known webtoon of the same name, tells the tale of Seulgi, a girl who, when her father passes away unexpectedly, moves to a prestigious girls’ high school in Seoul. She starts to see a darker side of Jae Yee as she becomes friends with him, the most outstanding student in the class and a formidable figure. This GL (Girl Love) narrative, a mystery psychological thriller, reveals the details behind an unexplained death.
Hyeri plays Yoo Jae Yee, a girl who defies conventional beauty standards yet possesses a high IQ and extraordinary talents. Yoo Jae Yee is the envy of everyone around her, in contrast to Woo Seul Gi, who endured bullying. The series depicts the fascinating journey of these two characters as they gradually grow in love, filled with uncertainty and mutual vigilance, as they share comparable pains.
As it explores the lives of kids battling different addictions and tackles mature issues including drugs, self-harm, and masturbation, “Friendly Competition” is anticipated to push boundaries. Due of its difficult subject matter, the series is rated as 19+. Kim Tae Hee is the writer who wrote the screenplay.
Hyeri is now filming “Tropical Night” and preparing for the release of “Victory,” in addition to her role in “Friendly Competition.”
