In an open letter to fans, Yujeong talked about leaving BB GIRLS.
Yujeong wrote a letter to her admirers on April 24 via social media, informing them of her recent departure from BB GIRLS, a group that has since reconstituted with three members. “Hello, this is Yujeong,” she said. I’ve taken a long time to consider posting this message. My contract with Warner Music Korea expired in April, and I will now be performing under the name Nam Yujeong instead of BB GIRLS. I would want to thank and apologize to everyone who has supported and cared for me over the years, especially Bbees and FEARLESS.”
Yujeong went on, “We committed to a lot of things together. I can’t reveal everything, but I’ve made the abrupt decision to end something I’ve been considering for a while. I’ve been terrified, anxious, and afraid of hurting someone since the beginning. I’m scared to do it alone, though, at the same moment. But starting today, I’m going to leave my past behind and concentrate on the next thing I have to love and appreciate.”
“I’m thankful to Warner Music and the members who’ve been by my side,” the ex-BB GIRLS member said in closing. I will genuinely support Minyoung, Eunji, and Yuna in creating BB GIRLS in the future. And lastly, I’m here 24/7. Please don’t be alarmed. I really do appreciate it and I love you all.”
