IU and Park Bo Gum’s “When Life Gives You Tangerines” drama is coming!
“When Life Gives You Tangerines” will be authored by top writer Lim Sang Chun of “Fight My Way” and “When the Camellia Blooms” and directed by Kim Won Seok of “Misaeng (Incomplete Life),” “Signal,” and “My Mister.”
In Jeju dialect, the title means “You Have Done Well.” The 1950s Jeju Island natives Ae Sun and Gwan Sik’s eventful lives will be told in the play. IU will play daring, rebellious Ae Sun and Park Bo Gum will play peaceful, trustworthy Gwan Sik.
After “My Mister,” IU will work with filmmaker Kim Won Seok again. Ae Sun, a Jeju Island native, is ambitious and rebellious and opposes her fate.
After impressing in “Record of Youth,” “Seo Bok,” and “Let Me Fly,” Park Bo Gum will play the solid Gwan Sik, who prefers to communicate himself through actions. Being honest, he adored Ae Sun wholeheartedly.
Additionally, Moon So Ri of “Three Sisters,” “Queenmaker,” and “Race” and Park Hae Joon of “My Mister,” “The World of the Married,” and “12.12: The Day” will play Ae Sun and Kwan Sik in the future.
