Blackpink’s Jennie discussed group issues and 2024 plans with Lee Hyori.
Jennie was a guest at KBS 2TV’s ‘The Seasons – Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet’ (hence ‘Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet’)’s inaugural recording in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, on April 2. She sang ‘You & Me’ and reworked Lee Hyori’s ‘Miss Korea’ with her own style.
In her first KBS music program in seven years, Jennie, a Lee Hyori fan, said, “I came to see Hyori. I had the confidence to get closer to her since she means so much to me.” Jennie remembered, “After her last stage performance, Hyori looked at me in the hallway, caressed my cheek, and went. I couldn’t sleep that night because I was heartstruck (‘simkung’). Jennie also said she had grown when they met at a clothing business event.
Lee Hyori praised Jennie, “She was different then. I saw her mature so much just by gazing at her. At the celebration, she was the star, caring for and loving everyone, exhibiting her growth.”
