Ji Chang Wook Plays ‘Mad Dog’ In Next Film ‘Revolver,’ Earning Jeon Do-yeon.

Ji Chang-wook changes drastically in his current flick. “Revolver,” directed by Oh Seung-wook, revealed character stills of Ji Chang-wook as “Perfumed Mad Dog” Andy.The film follows Su-yeong, a former police officer framed for many crimes to prison. After his release, he relentlessly pursues one aim. Andy, played by Ji Chang-wook, is known for his recklessness and disregard for obligations. Despite being overwhelmed, he makes rash judgments that cause turmoil. He saw his pledge to repay Su-yeong for taking the fall for his misdeeds as useless, leading to their conflict. Andy’s hysteria contrasts with his nice specs and attire in the character stills. This new Ji Chang-wook portrayal shows a new side of him. Ji Chang-wook spoke about joining “Revolver,” saying, “I liked Andy and wanted to make him more fascinating. I really liked Director Oh Seung-wook’s unique perspective.” Ji Chang-wook worked extensively with Director Oh to explore Andy’s past and present to prepare for the role. He tried many costumes to show Andy’s personality. The director said, “He perfectly portrayed the complex character, like a diseased emperor.” While praising Ji Chang-wook, Jeon Do-yeon said, “He greatly helped me perform boldly,” setting the stage for powerful performances and dramatic cast interactions. “Revolver” opens next month on the 7th.
