Jihyo Of TWICE Tells Why Trainees Were Fired From JYP Entertainment

Jihyo of TWICE discussed her trainee troubles.

JYP Entertainment’s office was visited by Lee Suk Hoon and Jihyo on ‘Sulply’ on February 29. She recalls her training “Joined JYP in 2005. We used to sit with blankets in the corridor because there weren’t enough practice rooms. The air conditioner leaked in summer and the heater didn’t work in winter. After moving to the new office, the atmosphere improved.”

Jihyo said, “In my case, I was scolded a lot because I couldn’t lose weight.” A TWICE employee described the leader’s personality: “Jihyo leads. Very kind and always does what’s needed.”

JYPE trainees were expelled for going to bars, Jihyo said. If they go to clubs, they’re out. These rules drove some away. Not even adults could go. That happened then. That was nearly 10 years ago.”
