Jimin Of BTS Ties Record For Most Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart No. 1s With “Closer Than This”

“Closer Than This,” by Jimin of BTS, was the top-charting song of the week in the US!

Jimin’s new single “Closer Than This” became his seventh solo chart-topping single when it debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart, according to a report released by Billboard on January 3 local time.

Jimin now shares the record as the Korean soloist with the most No. 1 songs on the list with his bandmate Jungkook thanks to this latest inclusion. Prior to “Closer Than This,” Jimin’s songs “With You,” “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” “Like Crazy,” his formal solo debut, and “Angel Pt. 1” from the “FAST X” OST all peaked at the top of the Digital Song Sales chart.

Additionally, this week saw the premiere of “Closer Than This” at No. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales list, No. 4 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100, No. 35 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, and No. 55 on the Global 200.
