K-net Users Argue That Lim, A Former Wonder Girl, Shouldn’t Make Her Husband Practice Her Religion

Lim, a former member of Wonder Girls, recently talked candidly about her marriage and said she wished her spouse could go to church with her.

Lim gave a special guest appearance on “Christian Mate” on March 12th, during which she discussed her beliefs, profession, and personal life.

“I believe that God has blessed the Wonder Girls,” stated host Jo Hye Ryun to begin the discussion. Along with Sunmi and Lim being Christians, Sunye’s spouse serves as a missionary.” In addition, Lim emphasized her strong Christian beliefs, saying, “As a trainee, I always believed Wonder Girls was a gift from God. Still, I was able to join the organization shortly after.”

Lim went on to say, “There were days I felt anxious and I would cry under the bed covers but I came this far thanks to God’s grace.”

Lim, though, voiced her worries about her husband’s lack of faith. She said, “My husband’s lack of church attendance is the one thing about him that I find problematic. Generally, when you go on a date, you attend church if your significant other requests it, but my spouse is obstinate. He has escorted me to church previously, but he has never accompanied me.”

Jo Hye Ryun replied, “I’d want to meet your husband. I want to tell him all about Jesus. People who are similar to him begin to have a strong faith after they encounter Jesus.”

Korean internet users, however, attacked Lim, arguing that she shouldn’t make her spouse adhere to her religious beliefs. “Why do you force your religion on others?” they remarked. Christians, kindly practice your faith in silence and don’t try to convert others.” “I wish people think about who would be in a more uncomfortable position, the one forcing the religion or the one being forced on,” It’s not as though she was unaware, prior to their marriage, that he wasn’t a believer. Why is she airing her grievances in public?” “Isn’t she the stubborn one trying to force her religion on a non-believer?” She ought to have made friends with someone from the church if she had wished to accompany her husband to church. “Everyone has the freedom to have a religion or not,” and “Don’t force it on him.” So please don’t make us do it!”
