“Dare to Love Me,” a new KBS drama, has released the first stills featuring Kim Myung Soo!

“Dare to Love Me” is a romantic comedy based on the webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of the love between Kim Myung Soo’s character, Shin Yoon Bok, a 21st-century scholar from Seongsan village who firmly believes in Confucian values, and Lee Yoo Young’s character, Kim Hong Do, who is his art teacher and has a straightforward and reckless personality.

As Shin Yoon Bok, Kim Myung Soo will embody the Confucian values of benevolence, righteousness, civility, and intelligence. Shin Yoon Bok is nice to others yet stern with himself. Lee Yoo Young will portray Kim Hong Do, a person without influence or authority who endures constant humiliation in the competitive design world but never gives up on her ambition to become a designer.

The pinnacle of Confucianism is Shin Yoon Bok, who regards the advice of family elders as binding law. He is a passionate MZ (Millennial and Generation Z) young man, nevertheless, who loves to explore and resist. It’s difficult for Shin Yoon Bok to trust people. He is courteous to everyone, yet he sets boundaries with those who approach him.

Shin Yoon Bok’s life drastically changes when he meets his destiny soulmate Kim Hong Do in Seoul, where he goes to pursue his dream of being a webtoon creator after running away from home. The audience is eager to see how Shin Yoon Bok, who is not one to readily share his feelings, will handle the roller coaster of emotions he encounters following his meeting with Kim Hong Do.

With his pointed look and straight posture, Shin Yoon Bok gives off a noble impression in the stills that have been made public. His hanbok, cap, and short hairstyle reveal a hint of his grace and elegance. In one image, Shin Yoon Bok appears to be a scholar from the Joseon period living in the twenty-first century. He is dressed in a contemporary school uniform, round glasses, a rucksack, and a hat.
