Label Denies IU Staff Stealing Fan’s Concert Seat

EDAM Entertainment, IU’s company, denied personnel took a performance ticket.

EDAM Entertainment apologized to a fan who was unfairly accused of ticket trading and prohibited from IU’s ‘2024 IU H.E.R. WORLD TOUR CONCERT IN SEOUL’. The blogger-fan then reported they found the seat occupied.

Some fans say EDAM Entertainment staff stole IU concert tickets, but the company denies it. The label said, “No executives or workers received concert tickets. We keep all printed seat tickets to avoid confusion.”

In a second statement on April 4, EDAM Entertainment revealed they have the identity of the person who stole the seat and explained that another fan had changed their seat to get a better view for the first half of the concert.

The label read, “Internally investigated. The DVD cameras rolled from the minute the people arrived to the end of the show in case we needed to check the seat. Early on, the seat was empty for the first half of the concert. Someone took the seat between the first and second halves. No one else bought the ticket from our company. Our crew leads audience members to the restroom and follows them back, making sure everyone gets back to their seats. We suspect one audience member returned from the restroom, noticed the empty seat, and moved there.”
