NewJeans’ “Super Shy” Reaches 200 Million Streams On Spotify In Record Time

Girl group NewJeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein)’s ‘Super Shy’ surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify. This is New Jeans’ fifth song to reach 200 million streams.

According to Spotify on the 7th, ‘Super Shy’, one of the triple title songs of New Genes’ 2nd mini album ‘Get Up’, was played 202,036,251 times as of the 5th. Just 60 days after the song was released on July 7, it was recorded as the song that reached 200 million streams on Spotify in the shortest period of time among New Genes’ songs.

“Super Shy” reached 100 million streams in 26 days and an additional 100 million views in roughly a month, demonstrating its enduring popularity. Multiple global chart positions attest to ‘Super Shy’s’ popularity. This song set New Genes’ highest new milestones, including 48th on the US Billboard main song chart ‘Hot 100’ and 52nd on the UK Official Singles Chart ‘Top 50’, and is still on the charts, indicating long-term commercial success.

Not only is ‘Super Shy’ popular, but so are the tracks on the second mini album, as the total number of Spotify streams for the six songs on ‘Get Up’ has surpassed 500 million as of September 4th.

Meanwhile, New Jeans has seven streaming recordings on Spotify worth hundreds of millions of dollars. ‘OMG’ and ‘Ditto’ were viewed over 400 million times each, ‘Hype lad’ over 300 million times, ‘Attention’ and ‘Super Shy’ over 200 million times each, and ‘Cookie’ and ‘Hurt’ over 100 million times each. It was transmitted multiple times.
