After Kang Hye Won of IZ*ONE becomes entangled in drug-related rumors, police intervene.

Following speculations of a drug controversy involving former member of IZ*ONE Kang Hye Won, police have released a statement.

On October 26, the Incheon Police said that they had discovered the claims claiming Kang Hye Won was the subject of an inquiry to be untrue. “We are the Incheon Police Drug Investigation Department informing you,” the statement read. We are looking into the report [removed] from IZ*ONE about Gyeonggi I-News 24. We are alerting you about the falsity of the reports. We never conducted an investigation on her.”

The posts on the online forum DC Inside, which claimed Kang Hye Won was connected to G-Dragon’s latest drug scandal, are the source of the rumors. Police have refuted a different post on the community that said a female group member was under investigation. As a result, (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon and LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon were also misled by unfounded reports.
